What We Do

Build an inclusive space – for Russian speaking LGBTQI+ migrants to share experiences and foster a sense of belonging.

Provide support for those navigating the challenges of migration and asylum.
Assist in integration into British society, helping our members find their place while maintaining their unique identities.

Promote cultural exchange and mutual respect, celebrating the diversity of our members’ backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

The programmes are focused on the fundamentals of life in the United Kingdom with an aim to facilitate a smoother integration of LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers, refugees and migrants into British society. We cover a wide range of topics from sexual health and wellbeing, British LGBTQIA+ history, banking systems, British values and laws and much more at our monthly workshops.

Educational programmes

Being part of the diverse community of LGBTQIA+ migrants from Eastern Europe, Caucuses, Northern and Central Asia means mutual support through shared experiences and knowledge. We understand the difficulties of migration and the loneliness induced by discrimination and persecution for simply living. What begins as networking and peer-to-peer support within a community transforms into meaningful connections, friendships and a sense of family.

Networking and peer-to-peer support

Mental and emotional struggles go hand-in-hand while transitioning into a new life in the United Kingdom. We provide access to Russian-speaking LGBTQI+ friendly volunteer counsellors who have been trained and specifically selected to provide advice, counselling and assistance in such circumstances. We also integrate workshops into our educational programme focused on reducing anxiety, adapting to new conditions, forming immediate goals, and developing the individual’s potential.

Support for mental health and wellbeing

We organise visits to British museums, exhibitions, and places of cultural significance with Russian-speaking guides or interpreters. This exposure aids our members’ transition into a diverse and multicultural British society.

International cultural exchange: LGBTQI+ diversity and cultural expression.

Our partnerships with other organisations and institutions provide access to additional support and represent the interests of our members through network building, knowledge exchange workshops, and shared resources and facilities. We actively engage in academic activities, including participation in research projects, representation at forums, conferences, and round tables, and involvement in public discussions and debates. These efforts aim to enhance understanding of the unique challenges faced by our community while ensuring our voices are heard in shaping relevant social and cultural policies.
